Bootie Season!

I've had a lot of questions recently about fall shoes, so I thought I would share my favorites! I hate winter but love all things fall including psl (pumpkin spice latte), comfy sweaters, and booties!!! An ankle bootie can really make your legs look hot! I love a little height and dark leather or suede. Sometimes a riding boot with a dress can make you look like you don't have any legs, but a bootie shows off what you have! If it's chilly just pair with leggings or an opaque pair of tights.

I got these booties last week from DSW and they were my comfortable yet cute choice after trying several on. I will be wearing these all the time!

Date Night to Dan's Taphouse

Date nights are few and far between these days, but it's so nice to get out for a quiet dinner every now and then. Lately if we have a child free evening we opt to order in and watch Netflix. Tonight we went to my favorite spot, Dan's Taphouse in Boonsboro, MD. If you haven't been there you must go, and be sure to order the crab dip! 

Tonight's date night outfit consists of a casual Carly and my favorite Tory Burch sandals. When you know you will be eating crab dip, and a sandwich, and a dessert, Carly is the way to go ;).

A Purpose Driven Life and LuLaRoe Style

It's time for back to school and I did this photo shoot at my alma mater, Shepherd University. It's hard to believe I graduated from Shepherd 12 years ago! It's also hard to believe I started as an education major and graduated as an accounting major. Becoming a CPA was extremely difficult but taught me a lot about running and managing a business, valuable life lessons I needed to get to where I am today. If you didn't know it, when I'm not on Facebook Live styling outfits, I am the woman behind a bookkeeping software for direct sales consultants. I had no idea what I was getting into when I decided to develop a software, but with a lot of faith I stepped forward and got to work! I have learned so much over the last year and a half and can finally say our software truly helps me save time in my LuLaRoe business and is a great tool for direct sales consultants.  We named it BluSavvy after Blu, Savannah, and Brody :). If you want to check it out, go here. I also offer free trainings on accounting for direct sales consultants and love helping women learn how to manage their finances. I have been reading a lot about living a purpose driven life and using our God given talents to help others so that is my main goal! I was blessed with two gifts, fashion and finances; how awesome is it to be able to cross those paths, only God could have made that possible.

Are you living your purpose? I have to admit it's scary to jump into the unknown, especially if it's going after something you know nothing about, like software development! But if you have faith, God will show you the way. Faith is stepping into the river before that water is parted having faith that God will provide.

Happiness Found

It has been a long time since I have written a blog post, life has been crazy! This morning I had a LuLaRoe Pop Up in my boutique and as I was getting ready, I found this Julia dress I'm wearing in the back of my closet, the first time I wore it was last January during my very first photo shoot for my very first blog post! Thinking back over everything that has happened in the past year I decided today was as good of time as any to get back to blogging! Check out my first blog post HERE, same dress, same girl, but I think you can see the difference in my smile!

I need to share with you my biggest discovery over the past year...happiness! Don't get me wrong, I've always been a happy, glass half full type of gal but this year I have discovered I have found my true calling. Quitting my full time job as a CPA, converting to a full time LuLaRoe fashion retailer, leading a team of LuLaRoe retailers, I have become the person I was meant to be. I finally feel like I can bless lives and strengthen families, LuLaRoe's mission and now my mission. 

It has been a hard year, a busy year, a stressful year, but also a blessed year, amazing year, fulfilling year, HAPPY year!  I was at a conference recently and a Dream Maker (yes that's his job title!) spoke with us about the comfort zone. He said the comfort zone should be called the uncomfortable zone because is it really comfortable, no! We far too often get stuck in a rut, just like a deer who makes a rut (a path) to the water and teaches his children to follow that same rut. We as humans do the same thing, we take the path we are supposed to take, college, steady job, family. Everyday we wake up and go to work at a job that pays the bills but probably is not your dream job. But LuLaRoe has given me the opportunity to get out of the rut! I'm now actually living my dream job!  This morning, my pop up hostess walked into my boutique and said "Tia, I want you to pick out some outfits for me". That phrase may not sound too exciting to you, but to me it gets me so excited!!! My job is to help women feel as beautiful as they are! To make them smile! And it makes me smile just thinking of my customers smiling!

So, I'm smiling today, I'm truly happy. And I hope you are too! If you aren't, it's not too late to get out of the rut, whatever your happiness is, get off the beaten path and create your own path! If you are scared, email me because I would love to chat!
