Into the Woods

Today I'm wearing this fun retro print LuLaRoe maxi skirt, this skirt is so silky and soft it feels like a nightgown! I paired it with a black classic tshirt knotted on the side to match the playful, casual look of the skirt.

Let me start by saying I am not much of an outdoor girl but we did this photo shoot in the woods at the farm. I feel so comfortable and down to earth in this maxi skirt, I thought this would be the perfect backdrop. And it's so appropriate because lately, I feel like life has kind of been like hiking through the woods. I keep following the path, not sure where it's leading but just trusting God is taking me where I'm meant to go!

My Treasured Amelia

Hi loves! I took a little hiatus from blogging because life has been in fast forward and I had to catch up. Does that happen to you? I'm not sure I'll ever be caught up but I'm trying! I had a lot of fun doing this photo shoot on our farm. My baby girl was playing in the background and my Great Danes kept trying to get in the pictures (Blu will make an appearance soon!)

Today I'm wearing the Amelia dress. Can you believe, this dress was sitting in my inventory for about a month without being purchased?! It's a size smaller than I normally wear but I loved the print so much I decided to try it and was so happy that it fit! I guess one man's trash is another man's treasure! I love that our dresses are so easy to wear; they are so comfortable but look put together.

Shepherd University

Today I'm back at my alma mater, standing next to a building I spent countless hours in studying business and accounting. I never would have guessed I would be standing outside White Hall 11 years later doing a fashion photo shoot! My CPA background has greatly helped in starting and running my LuLaRoe boutique business!

For my return to Shepherd University, I'm wearing a minty blue LuLaRoe Cassie pencil skirt, a striped tshirt, and floral scarf. I absolutely love pairing stripes and florals together for spring!

Go, Set, Ready!

Let's talk a little about life today because something is on my mind I want to share. The last couple of years I have been on quite a whirlwind journey centered upon following my heart. Every day I wake up and can't believe how incredibly blessed I am. I have truly been following what God puts on my heart and following Him wherever He takes me even if it may seem crazy to others. If you knew me 10 years ago you would know I am a planner, I like rules, and I like knowing what is going to happen. But that known path is so boring!!! Living in the present moment and listening to your heart takes you places you could never imagine. If you are waiting for the right time to follow your dreams, you may as well give up because there will never be a right time. But if you trust God and take a step into the water fully trusting that He will part the sea, amazing things will happen! Just go, then you can get set and ready while you are on the way.

Today I am living the life of my dreams as a LuLaRoe fashion consultant! One of the best things about owning my own LuLaRoe boutique is I get first dibs on what I want to keep from my shipments! Today I paired a beautiful, bright pair of coral LuLaRoe leggings with a striped Irma tunic, a floral Cassie skirt worn as a scarf (versatility!!!), and a denim shirt I have had in my closet as a staple for years. I'm feeling, comfortable, casual, and ready to conquer my dreams!

Pantyhose are No No's!

Spring is finally around the corner, and I couldn't be happier! I am ready to start wearing spring dresses and fun colors, but it's still a bit chilly out for bare legs. In the past I would have squeezed into pantyhose, felt uncomfortable, and decided to put my dresses back in my closet until it's a little warmer out. But watch out pantyhose, there's a new leg warmer in town called leggings!!!! If you haven't heard, LuLaRoe leggings feel like butter!!! The Perfect Jeans!

I used to wear jeans all the time because that was the only casual look I knew, until I found LuLaRoe. I also used to think jeans were comfortable... before LuLaRoe. Then I fell in love with our "butter soft" leggings and couldn't bring myself to put on my jeans that felt like sandpaper with no elastic waistband. So I've been on the search for the perfect pair of jeans and finally found them! These jeans are stretchy, comfortable, and look far from boring "Mom jeans." I feel trendy and cool in these jeans!!

This post is not to say wear jeans instead of LuLaRoe leggings, because we all want to be as simply comfortable as possible.  But I know every girl needs a hot pair of jeans to wear in addition to their closet full of LuLaRoe!

Today I paired distressed denim with a striped tshirt I had in my closet and a Lindsay Kimono. Distressed denim and chunky booties = super cool #momstyle!

Coffee, Jesus, and Cassie

I often hear the phrase, "all I need today is a little bit of coffee and a whole lot of Jesus." I'm going to add to that, all I need is a little bit of coffee, a whole lot of Jesus, and a Cassie skirt! As a new mom to a precious baby girl, sleep is hard to come by these days. Coffee energizes me, Jesus gets me through, but Cassie keeps me comfortable! No other pencil skirt looks this good but feels like your favorite pair of sweatpants. Whether I'm dressing up for work or just a casual Saturday running to Target, Cassie is my go to for when I want to look as if I made a little bit of effort when my secret is I didn't at all....shhh don't tell!

Today I paired a striped Cassie skirt with a tshirt I had in my closet and my converse sneakers for a simply comfortable look. Try the coffee, Jesus, Cassie combination and see if you feel as good as I do!

From Day to Date!

I don't know about you, but in the winter I feel like the short days make me absolutely exhausted! For the past few years I have been in a major fashion rut that just gets worse in the winter. There have been times when I want to get dressed up and go out but thinking about finding an outfit, ironing it, and then being uncomfortable in a dress all evening just wasn't going to happen. My go to was boring, uncomfortable, unflattering jeans. And then came LuLaRoe and the Amelia dress! I can put on an Amelia dress in the morning without ironing it because they come out of the laundry not wrinkled. I look great for work and get compliments all day! By the end of the day I am still totally comfortable and looking good, so the LuLaRoe Amelia dress transitions to date night easily. No more changing out of my work clothes into jeans in the evenings. Now I not only look better but I feel better too!

Today I'm featuring my LuLaRoe Amelia dress. This is the perfect dress for any occasion! Paired with a blanket scarf keeps me warm and cozy for a cold winter day.

It's a blizzard out there!

It's a blizzard out there...with about 3 feet of snow I have a feeling we won't be going anywhere for a few days! Our house in WV is about a mile down a gravel road to get to the main road, so we are literally snowed in. But I'm ok with that, I get some extra time to snuggle the baby, and my big babies (my two great danes)! The bottom picture was taken by me yesterday near the beginning of the blizzard snowstorm! My other photos were are all taken by my amazing photographer Emmanuel Marcel-Rene.

Today I'm featuring a layered LuLaRoe style, much needed for these freezing cold winter days! LuLaroe leggings, a Julia tshirt dress, and a Sarah duster sweater, three layers of comfortable style! When these long sweaters first came out I was not a huge fan, but wear one for a day and you will be buying three! They keep you warm, have pockets, and no bulkiness like a normal coat. I kind of feel like I'm wearing my robe around my house, just so cozy but pulls your outfit together perfectly!

Hi, welcome to LuLaStyle! I am excited to share with you a little about my life as a LuLaRoe fashion consultant! Through this blog, I hope to show you all the things I love about LuLaRoe and our simply comfortable clothing. My plan is to do a weekly style post showcasing our style collections.

A little background about my introduction to LuLaRoe... Rewind to last winter...I was pregnant and having trouble finding any clothes to fit my giant belly that didn't look like a tent, when I stumbled upon a friend's online LuLaRoe Pop Up Shop. I had never heard of LuLaRoe but decided to buy a "Julia" dress, a super cute tshirt dress that I was hoping if I went up a size might fit my baby bump. A few days later I received my package from a consultant and fell in love with the brand! Super soft, stretchy, comfy, and oh so cute...even at 9 months pregnant!!

That was when I realized I needed to be a part of this company, it only took one dress! When researching it I found that joining is a little bit expensive, but I know with risk comes big reward and wow, what a reward it has been! I opened an interest free credit card, called LuLaRoe, and was counting down to see whether my 400 pieces of LuLaRoe clothing or my little bundle of joy would arrive first.

The baby came first, Savannah was born on Sunday, May 3rd and my 5 boxes of goodies arrived on Monday, May 4th! I came home from the hospital Tuesday, I was exhausted, but too excited to see what was in my boxes! Opening that first shipment was like the most exciting Christmas I have ever had! So I spent the first few weeks of motherhood enjoying my precious miracle baby and playing with beautiful new clothes!

I'm now 8 months into LuLaRoe, have my own awesome team of LuLaRoe consultants, and a business that I love!

Everyday I get to play my own grown up version of dress up, helping to style women into beautiful, comfortable clothing. I feel so much joy helping women look great and feel great, plus my own personal closet is now full of such gorgeous LuLaRoe prints!

Many people don't realize as a fashion consultant for LuLaRoe, I choose which styles I carry and order, but every box I receive is full of limited edition pieces! We only make 1000 items in each print, so when I open a new box it's a big surprise every time as I never know what prints are coming! Our designer Patrick, is amazing, he used to work for Anthropologie, another store I love!

For my first blog post I am wearing one of my favorite LuLaRoe pieces, the Lola skirt! I feel so fancy wearing this midi skirt, and as always, way more comfortable than wearing jeans with my plaid shirt.
